So awesome! These pictures are just fabulous. Something about the simplicity, catching the vibrant colors of normal life, the chaotic patterns, the evidence that life has happened here. I love how each frame feels like a little story — not just documentation but presence: the way the colors pop, the way everyday objects seem to hold a kind of quiet poetry. You’ve got such a great eye for the little visual surprises that make a walk feel like a discovery. I especially found myself lingering on the shot with the books in the window — it made me wonder about their stories, too. Really inspiring stuff!
Another thing I noticed a lot in urban and city’s landscapes are the new shines of cars reflecting images on polished chrome or perfectly polished surfaces and glassy windows that distorted way images of clouds and buildings so on its surface the never ending creative bight of photography
Being in sharp contrast to you in this extremely dry heat three days in a row tomorrow is 45 degrees Celsius. Attempting to go out have a walk earlier in the day when sleepless nights in heated rooms around 25 degrees. Recalling fond memories of deep snow drifts blown up against the door.
Australian children grow up with the joy of sprinklers on a lawn such fun and joyful laughter’s as found in snowman making, sledging down steep slopes. Whilst the oldies stay indoors sipping hot teas in a way our differences are shared in our sameness 🙏🧡🙏
Those are lovely, Anfinn! Olympus (OM System) colors are my favorite. How do you like using the TG-7? I see they are on sale and would be nice for a pocketable, every day camera.
I really like these Arnfinn. I know how much you love them but have you tried the sequence without the graffiti/stickers pictures? Their ubiquity (in urban landscapes) can be a bit of a visual cliché. I want to skip past them to discover what else is lurking in your corner of the world.
I of course could. And some of these photos might very well turn up in other contexts. But in a post like this, where the point simply is "look what I found while out walking", I prefer to show the photos I like the best, whatever the subject.
Another thing is if graffiti and stickers really are more of a visual cliché than most of the other motives in this post. To be honest, and as one who actively seeks out urban photography on multiple platforms, I see more shop window dummies and reflections than I see stickers and graffiti.
I have to visit Oslo once. Have a good friend there, actually!
By the way, I like your puddle one! As a puddle influencer you couldn’t miss it, right?😉

Love those red chairs! (And the yellow akebrett.) The bright colors have me today.
They’re the shiny stuff.
Shiny, bright, either way, it’s what I needed today!!
Well done! I really like the books in the window. I wonder what titles are there?

Apologies to those who prefer perfect gramma

I adore it. Use it way more than I thought I would. It is truly pocketable, and solid enough that I don’t baby it.

I love that you found color on a winter's day. My favorite was the puddle reflection!
